SA Trails

First Time Riders & Gear

On arrival, and before we go on any outride, our instructor will give beginners a short lesson on what to expect and what to do.

SA Trails has an enviable safety track record. We were the first to design a training simulator. This development ensures both horse and rider understand each other. Your safety is our priority and we take all pre-cautions to ensure your ride is enjoyable, breathtaking, relaxed and safe.

Important

Unfortunately our horses are not weight carriers; we therefore cannot cater for riders that weigh 90 kilograms and above.

Arrival time

Please be sure to be on time – we do not want to delay the rest of the group.

Payment

We require a deposit to confirm your booking.
The balance must be paid via EFT and proof of payment submitted, or a card payment made upon arrival please. For safety and security reasons we do not accept cash at our premises.

What to wear

  • We have found that the comfiest gear is loose cotton long pants (chinos / slacks) and a suitable top. Otherwise any other long pants will do.
  • Please make sure you wear closed shoes.
  • If it looks like it may rain or drizzle; please bring a raincoat as well. Riding in the rain is always fun!
